Biography

Dr. M. Waqar Aziz is a versatile educationist with over 20 years of rich experience in teaching and research. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and a Master's degree from the University of Peshawar. He has been an academic staff at the Institute of Management Studies, University of Peshawar for eight years, with Umm Al-Qura University for over three years, and with CECOS University of IT and Emerging Sciences for six and a half years. Dr. Waqar has been teaching various computer science and IT courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is currently associated with the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.  

He is an active researcher in the field of Embedded Real-Time Systems (Software Engineering). His research interests cover software design and modeling (particularly of Embedded Real-Time Software), smart environments, and crowd management with the motivation of the social welfare of the human race. 

He served as a Program Committee member of the International Journal of Software Engineering and Technology, Jurnal Teknologi, Malaysian Software Engineering Conferences (MySEC'14 [sub-reviwer], MySEC'15), ICET 2023 and International Conference on Intelligent Software Methodologies, Tools and Techniques (SOMET 2014).
